18 Releases Spiritually Charged EP "Baptism"!
Rising artist 18 released his most influential project yet, the Baptism EP, on August 18, 2024.
Known for his emotive and authentic approach to music, 18 takes listeners on a personal, spiritual journey that reflects his faith and dedication to God. The Baptism EP is more than just music—it’s a message of transformation, renewal, and the power of faith.
In Baptism, 18 dives deep into the spiritual meaning of being born again. The project begins with a cry for change, a plea for divine intervention. It then evolves into a rebuke of the old life, offering hope and strength through the struggles many believers face in their journey.
As 18 describes it, Baptism is a reflection of the spiritual process of being made new—cutting away the old life and stepping into a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Each track encapsulates a piece of that journey, offering listeners not just music, but a testimony of faith and transformation.
This project is aimed at anyone looking to shed their past and embrace the possibility of new beginnings. Through honest lyrics and compelling production, 18 shows that faith can guide us through the darkest struggles and into a life of purpose and hope.

My name is Colby Stanford, but I go by 18 in my music. I’m from Maryland, and I started making music at home in 2022. What sets me apart is that I don’t write most of my songs—instead, I freestyle or blend scripture into beats, creating something deeply personal and spiritual.
While I love music, my true passion is worship. Every track I release is meant to be a form of worship to God, whether through rap or singing. My goal isn’t just to make music but to connect with Him and relay His heart through my songs.
The name 18 holds special meaning for me. It symbolizes overcoming, which I believe is the destiny of every believer. Through my music, I hope to inspire others to turn to Christ and experience a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him through worship.
