AC The Bard Drops Arise ft. Taylor Bickford – Listen Now!
AC The Bard new single Arise featuring Taylor Bickford released on March 14, 2025, and brings powerful lyricism inspired by ancient faith and personal conviction.
Drawing from St. Patrick’s Breastplate prayer and deep Christian themes, this track is both bold and introspective, rooted in resilience and truth.
About the Song – Arise:
Arise opens with lyrics drawn directly from St. Patrick’s Breastplate, invoking belief in the Trinity and the power of prayers from saints and prophets of the past. The first verse is both poetic and spiritual, telling the story of St. Patrick’s enslavement, escape, and faithful return to Ireland as a missionary.
The chorus declares:
“I arise today in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit,”
—an anthem of boldness against opposition.
Taylor Bickford delivers the second verse with excellence. His lyricism, tone, and energy are the perfect complement to the message and beat.
The chemistry between the artists is evident—made even more meaningful as they recorded together in AC’s home studio before Bickford moved back to Portland.
Inspiration Behind Arise:
The song was deeply inspired by St. Patrick’s Breastplate, a historical Christian prayer of protection, warfare, and confidence. AC wanted to bring that same ancient strength to a modern audience, especially those walking through spiritual battles.
“I wanted to give people something to declare over their lives. Something bold, but true.” – AC The Bard
The inclusion of St. Patrick’s story grounds the track in history, while the personal delivery brings it to life in the present.
