C4 Crotona New Song Through the Tears Hits Hard

🔥 About the Song: A Real-Time Testimony in Bars!

This isn’t a diss to the gritty CHH scene. But where many Christian rap tracks bring fire, C4 brings fire and living water. His bars are anointed, and his message is clear:

No matter the hurt—grace is still greater.

• Production: Dark, cinematic, and spacious—letting the lyrics breathe.

• Lyrics: Scripture-laced, street-honest, and deeply introspective.

• Emotion: Every bar bleeds with sincerity, pain, and ultimately, peace.

Through the Tears isn’t just another emotional track—it’s a Holy Spirit-led confession. C4 opens up about the trauma of losing his mother to gun violence, but instead of glorifying pain or vengeance, he walks us through the internal struggle between revenge and redemption.

🎙️ What Makes Through the Tears Stand Out:

“Through The Tears” is a journey through grief, rage, faith, and forgiveness. C4 Crotona delivers a testimony that hits deeper than most music today—Christian or secular. This track is raw, emotional, and unfiltered, capturing the internal war of losing his mother to violence while wrestling between revenge and redemption. It’s real. It’s painful. And it’s filled with grace.

Justmic of theBookkeeper247 team says,

C4 opens up on this track in a way many artists struggle to. He painted a vivid picture of the anger from losing his mom… Showing who he used to be, while later in the verse exemplifying the calm man of God the Lord has strengthened him to be now.

Justmic goes on to say, “The first verse draws you in with vivid storytelling, laying bare the heartbreak of loss. But the second verse takes it even further—right into the courtroom, as C4 opens up about the trial date of his mother’s killer. His thoughts, emotions, and even his sister’s statement are shared with raw transparency. You feel it. Then, in true C4 fashion, he flips the pain into purpose.”

Referencing Matthew 5:21

You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder,^[a)and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’

and the call to forgive as God has forgiven us (Matthew 6:14-15),

he delivers a sobering reminder: in God’s eyes, sin is sin.

Even the man who took his mother’s life is not beyond grace. That’s bold. That’s love. That’s Christ.

Dary Ty, also from theBookkeeper247 team, puts it plainly: “That’s what’s missing in hip hop period! Especially in Christian rap! Honestly! Rawness! Forgiveness!” And that’s what Through The Tears offers—more than bars, more than production.

This is ministry in motion. It’s real, authentic, and dear to C4’s heart. It’s a lesson—especially for the saints. This isn’t a knock on the “gritty CHH” genre, which often leans into hard-hitting bars. But C4 brings something else: a Holy Spirit-led message meant to reach people in their darkest moments. He doesn’t just rap. He ministers.

From the pain of his mother being shot by her boyfriend, to the compassion he carries while sharing that tragedy—C4 doesn’t just make music. He creates healing space for those who’ve been through similar pain or who carry unforgiveness in their hearts.

“This track isn’t just one you listen to—it’s one you feel. It turns listeners into fans. Like it did me!” Daryl Ty
