⭐ CHRISTIAN MEDIA WEEKLY — JUNE 5TH, 2026 EDITION
New Music & Book News
Some stories release. Some stories survive.
This week carries a little bit of both.
While several artists are delivering records centered on purpose, perseverance, healing, and commitment, one story that’s been years in the making reached a major milestone.
After months of writing, revising, cutting, rebuilding, and pushing forward, The Pamela Douglas Story is officially finished and moving into its final production stages. For readers following the Douglas Family Saga journey, it’s a moment worth celebrating. For everyone else, it’s a reminder that the work nobody sees often matters most.
On the music side, Dre Jamal challenges believers to choose purpose over popularity, iNTELLECT and Elan Brio encourage daily faithfulness, Chris Caro wrestles with difficult memories and spiritual wounds, EJ Swavv and MAYIA WARREN reflect on commitment, and Tds Cam finds hope one step at a time.
Let’s get into it.
🔥 FEATURED NEWS

🎧 The Pamela Douglas Story Is Finished
Two months of silence.
One reason.
The book is finished.
Daryl Ty returned to readers this week with a major update on The Pamela Douglas Story, the first installment of the Douglas Family Saga.
After stepping away from newsletters and updates for nearly two months, the reason was simple: finishing the manuscript.
Not polishing it.
Not tweaking it.
Finishing it.
According to the update, the final edit is complete and the project is moving into its master edit phase before publication.
The update also revealed the opening lines of the novel:
“I hear those heavy footsteps in the hallway outside our door, each one deliberate, threatening, familiar as my own heartbeat.”
“Nine years later, Kevin Davis is still walking through my chest like he owns the place.”
Set in Birmingham, Alabama in 1991, The Pamela Douglas Story follows Pamela Douglas as she fights through abuse, addiction, family trauma, and a faith she nearly abandons.

🎧 MUSIC
Dre Jamal — F.A.M.E.
Christian Hip Hop
Dre Jamal confronts one of the biggest temptations facing Christian creatives today: the pursuit of influence over purpose. Short for Fleeting Attention Misleads Everyone, F.A.M.E. calls believers back to humility, unity, and faithful stewardship. Drawing inspiration from 1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12, and Philippians 2, the record reminds listeners that every gift is meant to glorify God rather than elevate ourselves.

🎧 iNTELLECT & Elan Brio ft. MotionPlus & Kaboose — Daily Operation
Christian Hip Hop
Polished Arrow Music artists iNTELLECT and Elan Brio team up for a boom bap anthem centered on staying focused on God’s purpose one day at a time.
Featuring MotionPlus and Kaboose, Daily Operation combines sharp lyricism, soulful samples, and biblical encouragement inspired by Hebrews 3:12-13.

🎧 EJ Swavv & MAYIA WARREN — No One
R&B / Soul
EJ Swavv and MAYIA WARREN deliver a smooth reflection on commitment and unconditional love. Through conversational verses and heartfelt writing, the duo explores the realization that nothing else truly satisfies the space meant for genuine, faithful love.

🎧 Tds Cam — One More Step
R&B
Tds Cam captures the struggle of pushing forward when exhaustion and dark thoughts seem overwhelming. Rather than focusing on a dramatic breakthrough, One More Step finds hope in perseverance, reminding listeners that sometimes survival itself is evidence of grace.
The stories may be different, but the thread running through this week’s releases is hard to miss.
Faithfulness.
Whether it’s a believer resisting the pull of fame, an artist confronting painful memories, someone taking one more step through darkness, or a writer finally reaching the finish line of a book years in the making, each story points back to the same truth: purpose is rarely built in a moment.
It’s built one day, one choice, one step at a time.
As always, thank you for supporting independent Christian creatives who continue to create music, stories, and art that speak beyond the walls of the church.
We’ll be back next week with more Christian Hip Hop, Christian media, and culture.
Christian. Hip Hop. Culture.
TBK247 — Changing the Culture 4 God.
