🔥 About the Track
Jackson, TN – “Tear down their altars, smash their sacred pillars, burn their Asherah poles, cut down the carved images of their gods, and wipe out their names from every place. Don’t worship the Lord your God in this way.” [Deuteronomy 12:3-4]
Cash & Burn is the second single release of 2025 for Tennessee-based artist Darius Mullin. It will be available on digital streaming platforms starting September 5, 2025.
“‘Cash & Burn’ is a song about spurning the love of money. Even more than that, it’s about keeping first things first.” – Darius Mullin
Burn your idols, they’re all dust anyway.
Cash rules everything around us, or so it seems. In a world where prices are increasing while the value of a dollar is taking a nosedive, it is easy to see why the “paper chase” is at the forefront of determining the culture. But what would happen if we returned to the core of our purpose?
With Cash & Burn, Darius Mullin is challenging listeners with that exact thought.
“‘Cash & Burn’ started as just a title that stuck in my head years ago. It sat in my notes app with no lyrics. Eventually, I found the perfect instrumental to craft the song around. In the past few months, things just fell perfectly into place to round out the song. From an incredible feature by a CHH legend, to a brilliant guitar solo by a blues-rock artist.”
With his signature high-energy and raw approach to his craft, Mullin continues to up his game with each new release.
Cash & Burn is a fusion of boom-bap hip-hop, soul, blues, and conviction, all driven by live instrumentation and core scriptural principles.
Joining Mullin on the record is Christian rap veteran Dre Murray, whose smooth cadence engrains the record with a brilliant counter-balance to Mullin’s “edge of your seat” bravado. The pairing results in a dynamic record that is certain to resonate with a wide range of listeners.
