FINDING AGATHOS by adamariz - Full Album Release!
FINDING AGATHOS is adamariz’s debut full-length album. This project explores her spiritual growth from 2021 to the present, as she navigates life’s challenges and discovers the goodness of God.
More Details:
Adamariz has officially released her first full-length album titled FINDING AGATHOS. As the cover insinuates, this is an album about finding the goodness of God.
Adamariz describes the album as the journey of her life as she found the goodness of God in it, starting from around August 2021 to the present. Some of the songs on this album were released under her previous artist name “longliveadamariz,” which she shortened to “adamariz” in 2022 for various reasons.
One of those reasons was stepping into a new season—one of growth—something she’s seen firsthand. Throughout the album, we witness her growth, both artistically and spiritually.
Part One: The “LOST ERA”
The first part of the album, known as the “LOST ERA,” includes a collection of older tracks that have been remastered, symbolizing Adamariz’s attempt to find the goodness of God in her life.
In these songs, she explores themes such as battling doubts, mental health struggles, emotional hurt, forgiveness, and the process of letting go.
Songs like “SOLO TU”, “HOLY,” and “HOLY (REMIX)” captures a pivotal shift where adamariz begins to praise God in the midst of these internal battles. We are left with the track “HOLD ON,” which serves as a powerful reminder to wait patiently and see how things unfold. It encourages listeners to hold on through difficult times, offering hope to those going through similar struggles.
Part Two: New Beginnings and Collaborations
In the second half of FINDING AGATHOS, adamariz delivers nine new songs, including two bonus tracks. This part marks a new chapter in her life, where she begins to declare things based on biblical truths.
The first track, “HOLD ON (REMIX)”, kicks off with a remixed verse from adamariz herself, setting the tone for the rest of the album.
One standout track, “LOST & FOUND”, addresses the rivalry within the female Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) scene. With the line “I got my sisters in Christ with me,” adamariz emphasizes unity among female CHH artists. She drew inspiration for this song from a message by Marty of Social Club Misfits and from PRAISE by WHATUPRG.
Having recognized in late 2023 that she hadn’t collaborated with many women in the CHH space, one of her key goals for the album was to create a cypher-style song, which she did by featuring four talented female rappers.
Declaration and Reflection:
As the album progresses, adamariz finds comfort under God’s “WINGS,” declares that she has “FOUND [HERSELF]”, and reassures listeners that despite the trials, “HE AIN’T GO AWAY.”
This powerful message is further reinforced on a remixed version of the 2021 single, which now features contributions from A3 and Mvkeyyj.
The album closes with a reflective note on her blessings and expresses gratitude for the journey so far. But just when you think it’s over, adamariz surprises fans with two bonus tracks.
The first, “PROMO,” features NOT KLYDE and was a last-minute addition to the album while she was waiting for “LOST & FOUND” to be completed. The second bonus track, “WORK 4 IT,” features FOEVA and Caleb Fields and brings an energetic vibe, focusing on working for God rather than for man.
Bonus CD Tracks:
For those who manage to get their hands on the physical CD version of FINDING AGATHOS, they’ll be treated to an additional five demo tracks.
These tracks provide a sneak peek into an upcoming project, giving listeners something exciting to look forward to.
