Above the Clouds is one of Christian rap’s hidden gems.
The duo of iNTELLECT and Tae Lamar represent an element of hip-hop that has become a rare commodity, the pairing of the beat-maker and the emcee.
Classic groups once set the trends for the genre and Above the Clouds is helping the culture remember what is truly special about individuals working together with a common goal in mind.
With their first release since 2020, the group enlisted the services of CHH artist Procyse along with DJ Grubbernaut for the new single Real Ones Pt. 2.
iNTELLECT explains the timing of the release by saying, “while we have both been pushing our own personal endeavors (Lamar with Afresh Culture and iNTELLECT with Polished Arrow), we felt it was time to join forces to begin the next Above the Clouds chapter.”
The follow-up to the record “Real Ones”, from the album ‘The Righteous’, Real Ones Pt. 2 is a sequel that raises the bar.
Locked-in wordplay from iNTELLECT and Procyse elevate the already potent production of Tae Lamar.
DJ Grubbernaut brings the finishing flavor by adding perfectly placed cuts.

With a distinct flow, iNTELLECT has used his gift to spread the message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ to areas throughout the Midwest. Drawing his inspiration from the Gospel and life experience, iNTELLECT combines biblically sound doctrine with hip hop beats. “Being that I grew up in a home with a Christian mother and an alcoholic father, my mother has been one of the most influential persons in my life.
I watched how she constantly prayed for my father (who eventually came to salvation before his death) and I became a firsthand witness on how faith and prayer can change the direst of situations. I watched how she studied the Word of God and how she passionately lived the Christian life while I was growing up. Even though at times I had strayed away from the path, she always told me that God had a plan for my life.
Her influence has helped me see the importance of not only living a life of integrity but also to present myself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15).

Rapper iNTELLECT and beat maker Tae Lamar formed the group Above The Clouds, in early 2019, due to their common love for Jesus and 90’s hip hop.
