Jarred AllStar - JJ
Jarred AllStar – “JJ“.
Nearly 4 years after the release of Water and Wine, Christian Hip Hops best kept secret is back with his second album; “JJ”.
Joined by frequent collaborator and CHH rising producer Jarrod Hicks (Pastor Charles, Da Commissioner, Godina etc.), the two give us a shot of the unadulterated gospel with 14 tracks of bold delivery, sharp lyricism and banging 808’s.
Across the project are guest features some of the East Coast hottest CHH rappers: Rik Montero, ATTAM, Mark3dbyHIM, and then also multiple appearances from his wife, Davina.
Every feature shows up and shows out for the Kingdom along with the rising Long Island MC. Which brings us to our next point: Jarred AllStar’s wife, Davina, is both an amazing singer and MC in her own right.
She appears on 5 of the projects 14 songs and likely had an influence on more. The two go back and forth on album stand out “Honestly,” with both of their deliveries complimenting bars such as “Now I think I’m Eve, all I see are bad apples.”
None of this says nothing to AllStar’s own talent as an MC, his unabashed delivery teaming with lyrics that both astonish and preach, and bars about deliverance (“All Praise”), healing (“God Remains”) and his attitude toward notoriety (“No Recognition”).
`As producer Jarrod Hick’s first album he shows the ear of a veteran and provides the backdrop that makes “JJ” an experience for believers and non-believers alike.

It is this wealth of experience and the constant reminder of purpose that makes Jarred AllStar’s current music his best efforts to date. Since entering the Christian Hip Hop scene God continues to open countless doors for Jarred; cyphers, Hot 97 features, festivals and over 100 songs released since the year 2000. Through his union to Davina (singer/rapper), Jarred not only found his wife but the Co-Owner of their budding music label; Humble Brag. The two have been releasing captivation music spreading the gospel to believers in non-believers a like through whatever subgenre of Kingdom Music you choose to use.
