New Orleans Own Blak Duv “God Is Good” truly lives up to it’s title.
“God Is Good” Is about overcoming the struggles and hardships we face along our path to finding our purpose here on Earth.
New Orleans Own Blak Duv hails from the Downtown 7th Ward/Treme area of New Orleans. A very tough environment for one to come from and make something of themselves.
On October 31, 2016, he and his cousin were struck by a speeding van in a collision that left Blak Duv unable to walk for 2 years.
Through many prayers, hard work, and physical therapy he rose to his feet with a newfound purpose in life. That purpose is to inspire all and to let them know how great the God we serve really is.
He has been a local poet in New Orleans for over 10 years and has represented New Orleans nationwide through poetry/spoken word as well as hip hop. His words are compelling and have been thrilling crowds for over a decade now.
He possesses the sound of a modern-day Nas or Tupac Shakur with deep soulful stories on life, love, and spirituality.
The symbol Blak Duv originates from his everlasting commitment to promoting black hope which the Dove signifies. Definitely a star in the making.
