If You Don’t Like It, Don’t Worry, Prafit Josiah Already Told You to ‘Do You’

Nashville, TN – From the moment “Do You” opens, it’s clear this isn’t just a boom bap throwback. The warped Speak & Spell-style sample commands attention and sets the tone for a track that’s both direct and deliberate.

Some rappers beg for your attention. Prafit Josiah just shrugs: Do You. His new single (out August 29) flips the casual phrase into a pointed challenge, aimed at the culture and at the listener. Apparently, anybody can get it.

At its core, “Do You” is Josiah’s refusal to bend to expectations from the industry, from critics, even from fans. What sounds like indifference becomes, in Josiah’s hands, a challenge.

“You wanna live a life of sin then (Do You)

You won’t be in Heaven with Him so (Do You)

GOD want to let you in, DON’T (Do You)

DON’T (Do You)

DON’T (Do You)”

Where most artists soften their message to widen appeal, Josiah leans harder into confrontation. These bars weren’t made for the algorithm; they were made to hit nerves.

“You hate the GOD of the Bible then (Do You)

Don’t wanna be a disciple well (Do You)

Keep serving your idols and (Do You)”

The result is a record that thrives on discomfort. It doesn’t care if you skip it. In fact, that’s the point. Josiah’s music isn’t about fitting in; it’s about standing out with conviction intact.

Hip-hop has always needed emcees willing to challenge the culture instead of flattering it. With “Do You,” Prafit Josiah makes it clear: love it or hate it, he’s not here to play it safe.

“Do You” arrives August 29, 2025 on all streaming platforms. You can Stream/Download here – https://PrafitJosiah.com/do-you
