Rich Colón Kicks Off Summer With a Hard Hitting Record!
Detroit, MI – “Not that I have already reached the goal or am already perfect, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 3:12-14]
The world loves to commit energy to things that are fleeting. These earthly items are only here for a season, however, God’s love is promised to remain steadfast throughout eternity. What is the prize that you are chasing? Where do you find your motivation and purpose? Jesus simply said to follow Him and He would give life-everlasting.
“‘Kung Fu’ is about being yourself, being present where you are, while keeping your focus on God’s plan for you.” – Rich Colón
An upbeat song featuring sharp lyrics, Kung Fu by Rich Colón drops to digital streaming platforms on June 10, 2024.
Rich Colón is known for his skills as a gifted lyricist that represents the classic boom bap style of hip hop with passion and conviction. On Kung Fu, the Detroit-based emcee incorporates animated adlibs that bring a fun element to the record while still packing a punch.
The track is produced by acclaimed producer and artist Knaladeus (Menace Movement) who’s production style compliments Colón’s tone and delivery to a T. As the first single release following the well-received ‘Hunting SZN’ EP, Kung Fu continues to build on the momentum that has been growing since Colón joined indie imprint Polished Arrow Music.
Kung Fu is a great summer kickoff record and is a perfect addition to your personal playlist!

About Rich Colón
Rich Colón is an emcee who values the art of being an emcee. His formula is simple – dope beats and well-crafted lyrics that pull no punches.
While Rich’s delivery is reminiscent of hip-hop’s sharpest, like Black Thought, Big Pun, Nas, or Vinnie Paz, his content is infused with a deeper spiritual dialogue that pulls influences from thinkers like C.S. Lewis and Justo Gonzalez.
