VHNATE – “STEPPERS” Shares Testimony & Redemption

VHNATE Steppers is a testimony-driven Christian hip-hop single that brings real-life transformation to the forefront. Released on December 9, 2025, the song features Deonte Hall and reflects two different journeys that intersect through faith in Jesus Christ.

Both artists grew up in different parts of Michigan but lived similar lives marked by struggle. Before coming to Christ, Deonte Hall was involved in drug dealing, while VHNATE (Nate Malone) navigated a life of crime and substance abuse within the secular music industry. Though their paths to salvation were different, their shared faith is the foundation of both their friendship and their music.

“STEPPERS” exists to reach people from the same environments they came from. The song is rooted in testimony, using honesty rather than performance to point listeners toward Christ. Instead of glamorizing the past, VHNATE and Deonte focus on redemption and purpose, emphasizing that real change comes through surrender to God.

The record carries added weight when placed against their personal histories. Just four years ago, Nate Malone was facing a potential 45-year prison sentence. Through what he describes as God’s mercy, he walked away free — a moment he connects directly to Proverbs 21:1, which reminds believers that God holds the hearts of leaders and decision-makers in His hands. Deonte’s journey includes being saved while incarcerated, leading him to devote his life to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“STEPPERS” stands as a reflection of God’s divine alignment. Coming from different regions of Michigan, the artists view their connection as God-ordained, using music as a vessel to share hope, faith, and transformation with both youth and adults.
